About Yarikkopru (Donkey Bridge)
Yarikkopru is located in the Manavgat district of Antalya, within
Koprulu Canyon National Park. A large rock mass forms a natural passage across the canyon and was later shaped by human use to make crossing easier.
Unlike a conventional stone bridge, Yarikkopru stands out for its natural formation. Traces of old paths and worked rock around the site suggest that the area was once connected to historical travel routes.
Where Is Yarikkopru?
Yarikkopru lies near the Koprucay River, among the natural and historical landmarks of Koprulu Canyon. Other nearby points of interest include
Yerkopru and Oluk Bridge.
A Different Stop for Nature Walks
Donkey Bridge also appears as a waypoint on hiking and off-road routes in the region. Some Wikiloc routes mark Yarikkopru separately as
"Donkey Bridge / Esek Koprusu".
The surrounding paths can be rocky and uneven, so sturdy footwear is recommended. During rainy periods, visitors should also pay attention to the water level of the Koprucay River and changing ground conditions.
Who Is It Suitable For?
Yarikkopru is a good stop for visitors interested in canyon landscapes, natural rock formations, old routes and less developed walking trails. It can easily be combined with Oluk Bridge and Yerkopru during a visit to Koprulu Canyon.
